Reminded of "Faith"

Bert and the kids left this afternoon for a few days at her parents house. As I buckled Hunter into his carseat I had this almost overwhelming, sickening feeling. What if there's an accident? What if some wreckless car just plows into our mini-van and I never see my family again this side of heaven? I have to admit, it took me a while to get this thought out of my head and the knot out of my throat.

About the time (actually just moments after) I made the call and confirmed they made it to Granny's safely, I was reminded of that stupid camp song from days gone bye. "He's got the whole world, in His hands...." I have a hard time admitting it, but the Lord truly loves my wife and kids more than I do. And its His unconditional love that is always working to bring about the best, HIS BEST in their lives, as well as mine.

With that being said, let me ask you this: How often do you consciously exercise your faith? I know that every day when we crawl out of bed its an act of faith. Its the "CONSCIOUSLY" part that I'm talking about. Just a thought on this muggy 100 degree day in Western Kentucky.

Anyhow, I'm about to figure this blogging stuff out, though I still stand in need of technical support. Techno-Pastor Bob has assured me that his vast wealth of things computer are at my disposal.

He Has Made Me Glad.

I'm just trying to get this thing up and going. It looks like I'm going to have to get ahold of our Pastor of Technology to help me, because I'm just not bright enough to make this work. The instructions say this is as simple as 1 2 3, But I would beg to differ. I'll get there, one of these days.
